The writer has a total of seventeen years of diversified drilling experience with the Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd. (ONGC) as a Driller, Tool Pusher, Technical Base Superintendent, Supervisor in Charge of Materials Procurement and Distribution, Engineer-in-Charge of Budget and AFE Preparation and Coordinator of Contractor Rigs and Horizontal Drilling Operations.
After graduation from university he joined ONGC as a driller and was promoted to Assistant Executive Drilling Engineer shortly thereafter on the 30th of August 1985. In that capacity he was transferred to Madras and posted to the F-6100 deep drilling rig. In 1990 he was promoted to Executive Drilling Engineer and, in 1991, was transferred to Assam, in the far eastern part of India, to work in the Lakwa Oil and Gas Field. In 1995 he was promoted to Deputy Superintending Drilling Engineer, transferred to the Western Region and posted to the Mehsana Oil and Gas Field. In 1998 he was promoted to Drilling Manager. He is eminently qualified to act in a supervisory or management position or to perform any of the many other functions pertinent to Drilling Supervision, Drilling Engineering, Logistics, etc. |
