Temporarily acting as Vice President in charge of Operations on a consulting basis for PT. Gemilang Technodrill Paripurna, a Jakarta-based oil and gas service company.
Performed the duties of a consultant drilling fluids engineer on a land based rig in Venezuela utilizing an oil-based mud to drill deep, underbalanced holes.
Designed and supervised the running of a water based, extremely high lubricity mud system in Mongolia on the deepest and fastest hole ever drilled in that country.
Responsible for the entire design and operation, from spud to completion, of a high temperature tolerant polymer coring fluid for Pertamina/Karaha Bodas LLC, a geothermal company operating in West Java. The Project involved drilling the surface interval and then continuous coring to TD on 18 hot holes. Maximum recorded temperature was 720 degrees Fahrenheit in the deepest continuously cored slim hole ever drilled in Indonesia.
Technical drilling and workover fluids engineer for various production sharing contrators to Pertamina: Arco Indonesia, Caltex, Conoco, Exxon, Hadson Bentu/Apache, Iiapco/Maxus, Mobil, Union Oil and Total Indonesie. Experienced with all types of water based drilling, coring and wordover fluids.
